
Divemaster Training
The PADI Divemaster Course is the first professional rating in the PADI system. It includes various areas of study including Physics, Physiology, and also Skills & Environment.Your instructor will insure you receive PADI required training including information sessions, progress checks, discussions, and the opportunity to discuss and ask questions about your education. You will get to work with all shop instructors as part of your training including assisting students in classes. After you complete your studies, you will take the PADI Divemaster exams, which are written tests on the topics studied
One of the skills practiced during the Divemaster course is learning how to navigate underwater and topographical mapping. Below are some examples of maps created by Captain Morgan’s Divemasters in Training for some of Utila’s dive sites.
Once finished you will be a certified PADI Divemaster, this allows you to run certain PADI courses such as the Scuba Tune-up and Supervising Certified Divers. You will also be able to run the Discover Snorkeling course.
Requirements: Rescue Diver
Recommendations: Dive computer strongly recommended
Duration: 4 to 6 weeks recommended
