Pool/Confined Water Sessions: Varies.
During these sessions we will work on your Trim, buoyancy and over all position in the water. We will work on your skills demonstration. All skills will be demonstrated in neutral buoyancy. Don’t worry if you have not practiced in neutral buoyancy. We will get you to this level. This is an important part of your training as you will be working closely with our Instructor Trainers.
Confined waters is where students for Open Water Diver will spend a good part of their time. Here you as a GoPro Dive Master need to understand the importance of the confined water sessions. You will master all the skills that the student will learn.
Open Water Sessions: Varies.
Here is where we will put all to the test. You will work hand in hand with our SSI Instructor Trainers and see how a typical day as a Dive Master will be. The Dive Master is an important part of the Dive Center and as such must have a full understanding of his or her duties.
We want our Go Pro Dive Masters to be highly trained and skilled and as such spend a lot of in water time with you. On average our Dive Guides in Training(DMT’s) complete more than 100 dives since the beginning of their training.
Maximum Training Depth: 40 meters / 130 feet
Suggested Duration: 35 – 45 hours. In reality with all the in water sessions we normally spend anything up to 100 hours just on the Dive Guide section of the Training.
