SSI Stress and Rescue

The SSI Stress and Rescue Program prepares you for that “what can go wrong” moment. Stress is one of the main causes of diving accidents and has a negative impact on rescue situations. This program teaches you the skills and knowledge necessary to recognize and deal with stress, prevent accidents, and properly handle emergency situations faced by divers. You will earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification after completing this program.

Learn to take care of yourself and your dive buddy! One of the most important parts of a rescue is, first of all, the self-rescue. Are you able to help yourself? If not, then you can’t help anyone else. This is perhaps the most challenging and rewarding part of this specialty course. Knowledge to aid safety in diving related emergencies.

This is one of the specialties required to achieve the coveted SSI Master Diver and SSI Dive Guide certifications. You will learn to recognize stress in yourself and your buddy, act confidently, and help in dive emergencies.
